Multi-plane camera rack prototype
Hello! We are working on this multi-plane camera rack. Well, I mean a much small, simple and portable version of Multi-plane camera created by Walt Disney Studios back in 1933.
We skimmed through a few versions we can found around the Internet, from other studios and animators, from DIY with beer pong cups to a bit more professional build. And yeah, I also directed a stop motion food video for Grab Mart in December, 2021 which used multi-plane camera technic – the most simple form of it, with 1-meter square tempered glass over a chromakey.
Check it down here.

DF-WXY3 | new gen dual-axis winder

Together with single axis new gen winder, we also developed a dual-axis version based on our new movement mechanic. This is a bit tricky and may be a little uneasy to see it how it work if compare to other popular or traditional winder. But, I did tried it a few time and I kind of like the smooth feeling it brought and the anti-slip feature is quite value. That’s why we think this could be very useful for stop motion animator.
Curious? If pass by our Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, just come, we will let you testing this out.
DF-WX3 – new gen winder

Hello. Today we proudly introduce our latest designs on stop motion winder collection, for both single and dual axis. This design we are using different mechanic compare to other popular winder you’ve ever seen on the market out there. This design giving some advantages such as smoother and more precise moving step, which crucial for high frame-rate animation (12, 24 or even more). The locking mechanic is also simplified and more stable, meaning less parts need to be made and adjust than before, so we can build it in shorter time and less headache when fine-tune before shipping (phew).
Ah, we called this Karakasa Kozō – a funny, childish yokai (goblin) in old Japanese folk stories 😁.
DF-WXY2 | Dual-axis winder

Another work of art (forgive us, we love our product too much…) has been released today, a dual-axis stop motion winder with compact movement block. There are pair of sensitivity adjustable screws on each axis-blocks, so animator can quickly adjust the grip-ness of winder according to his/her convenience.
We don’t do much of this, so there is just only two winders has been hand-built. When both of them are sold out, please let us know your order, we will make another winder for you.
Stop motion OST MV: Crystal sunshine
Introducing a stop motion music video project that we proudly took part in. We collaborated with Tidu Workshop to create the armatures for main characters of this video, a male and a female armature in 1/6 scale, about 30cm tall.

The making of the armatures was started from November, and within 2 weeks, we deliver the very first prototypes of our armatures to character design team. In photos below, we are covering the armatures’ joints with memory foam to prevent clay or silicone stuck in between it.

Beside making the armatures. We are also created a custom slider combine with a 30cm tall winder for the film maker. The tool that allow animator to animate some specific difficult scenes. For example the timelapse scene, the close up of butterfly flying over male character’s face.

DF-04 with heavy duty V4 ball-joint

Our latest rig-arm with bigger balls and (yes) bigger joint plates has been available on our Shopee e-commerce store. Bigger ball-joints mean sturdier and lift more weight compare to our V3 standard ball-joint. V4 is an upgrade for those who want sturdier ball-joints or often over twist the hex key during animating, or for food and macro photographers who want stronger rig-arm for moderate weight objects.
DF-WXY1

Super proud to announce that our first dual-axis winder has been available on Shopee! Hopefully the winder gonna be approved in other Shopee South East Asia market soon.
DF-WXY1 dual-axis winder
Our first prototype of dual-axis winder. The combination of DF-WX2 and DF-WX3. Vertical axis is fixed with 18cm rail while the horizontal axis can be extended up to 30cm length depend on request, but don’t go over 30cm because it is too long and clumsy rail. We think 20cm for horizontal rail is ideal for this winder.
DF-A16 ‘Lancelot’
Meet Sir Lancelot, our first 1/6 armature. Hand built in Delta Forge, Saigon, Vietnam. We did this first for a video production project, then we turned it into a ready-made product for film makers!
Aw, by the way, we are open to work on character rig building and customising projects.
